Solo qualche mese fa, girovagando per le strade in scooter con la mia dolce metà,    per mio grandissimo stupore, ho notato in una zona dove degli operai comunali erano a lavoro, un gigantesco rocchetto di legno, come quelli di filo...ma in scala 1:1000!
Mi sarò girata per guardarlo circa dieci volte (fino a che non è sparito dal mio campo visivo), pensando fosse stata un'allucinazione. 
Lo ammetto, fino a quel momento non avevo idea dell'esistenza delle bobine per i cavi elettrici, quindi immaginate il mio entusiasmo nel vedere quell'enorme rocchetto di filo! Pensavo di essere finita nel set de "I viaggi di Gulliver". 

Some months ago, my sweetheart and I were wondering by the scooter through the streets of my town, when,   with great astonishment,  I noticed, in a "men at work" area, a giant wooden reel, like the yard's one, but 1:1000 scale!
I looked back about ten times (until I could see it anymore), believing it was an hallucination. 
I have to admit that I was unaware of the existence of the cable reels until that moment, so you can imagine my enthusiasm when I saw that enormous yarn reel!
I tough I turned up in the "Gulliver's travel" set.

Ho scoperto che ne esistono anche di più piccole (quella in strada era immensa!), e sono subito andata a consultare Pinterest, per sapere se qualcuno avesse già brevettato l'uso delle bobine come complemento d'arredo. La risposta è stata affermativa. E ora condivido con voi qualche idea rubata dal web.

I discovered that they could be even smaller than the one I saw (it was so big!), so I examined Pinterest to know if someone had already tested reels as home accessories. The answer was affirmative. So, now I MUST share with all of you this pictures I've found on the web.
